Look for the neighborhoods along the dotted line to blow up. I'm talking renaissance. Property values through the roof. Milwaukie; the next N Mississippi? I suffer that usual duality. The investor part of me wants to buy into Jamie and Senna's neighborhood now and let them build that orange line and watch my equity go up 50%.
The non-leech part of me resents the idea that people in Wilsonville, Tigard, Tualatin, West Linn, Lake Oswego, all of NE and outer SW Portland, Oregon City, and Gladstone will have to pay taxes on light rail they'll never use.
I guess it's moot. I'm in Palm Springs now anyway!
